My experience with IXWebhosting has been very positive. They have provided me with quality support and services.

The main benefits of IXWebhosting are: - the greatest Live support that is able to solve any kind of problem in several minutes - low prices that include wide amount of features and services - high bandwidth that results in websites running very fast.

ADDITIONAL BONUSES IX provide: If you put a word "BANG" in the Employee Code field on the third page of ordering you will get the benefit of free SquirrelMail and AWStats business tool installation. IX is a must-pick host! I recommend it to everyone who values support and quality.

Kind regards, Helen

Hosting services are great, but backup system sucks.

IXWebHosting's backup system is pretty much none existence. They couldn't provide a full usable image/backup for our site. Example: the system defaults all file/folder permissions after a restore from backup. If you have a complicated website, it would be very difficult to manually change each permission, specially when your using a third party software which sets the permission at install.

I made a backup of the whole website and did a restore and the permissions were changed. This particular site was using third party software that has 20 folder and sub folder plus files that manage the site. To change each permission isn't feasible and defeats the purpose of having a backup.

We have been with IX for about a year now, and there are good things to say about their hosting service. We never had a major problem with it.

The major downside though is their mail server which is either down or super-slow all the time. Their support people cannot seem to fix the issue. Once they told us they had upgraded their service with new mail servers (overload issue), but this did not speed up nor make it more reliable.

If you have a large e-mail list (ours is 15,000+) they won't be able to accommodate your needs. You have to host your list somewhere else as IX will refuse to email more than 3,000 pieces a month (even if your list is double opt-in).

The lack of reliability of their e-mail server becomes critical when you have time-critical. In some cases, our files were delayed for over 24 hours, with clients screaming on the other end of the line. This is a pity because this host has good features and customer service.
